Join Us At The Compass
A new art gallery and gathering space in downtown Provo from Faith Matters
Faith Matters is delighted to announce the opening of a new (and our very first) venue: The Compass. Located in Provo’s historic district, The Compass is both a community gathering space and an art gallery curated by art director Esther Candari.
We imagine Faith Matters events at The Compass will include meaningful conversations, interspiritual dialogue, music concerts, book launches, workshops and more. We have a few gatherings planned already that we think you will love (see below), but if you have other suggestions or would like to propose something, please reach out to us at info@faithmatters.org.
You can also support the broader Faith Matters Foundation mission by renting out The Compass for your own private events, such as weddings, celebrations, recitals or company retreats. We hope you will come see us soon.
UPCOMING EVENTS AT THE COMPASS
Join singer Emma Nissen for a special evening of music and storytelling in the intimate setting of The Compass gallery. You'll hear songs from Emma's new album, Love Like You, and hear stories from Emma's life. There might even be sing-a-long time….You won't want to miss this special experience! Tickets available for in-person attendance and a high-quality livestream.
What if grace was not a thing that eventually made you fit for heaven, but a way to experience heaven now? What if you lived grace as a verb instead of a noun? Join Faith Matters as we celebrate the launch of our newest book GRACING, where author Hannah Packard Crowther explores this abundant, nourishing, and down-to-earth spiritual life. Hannah will be joined in conversation by George Handley and Michael McLean will perform a special musical number inspired by the book.
Faith Matters is excited to announce a brand-new event series Wider Circles: A Faith Matters Interfaith Gathering. Each month, come hear a different faith leader share a meaningful practice, reading, or idea from their tradition, learn about opportunities to partner together in service, and have the opportunity to ask them anything—no bad questions.
Our first guest for this series is Rabbi Samuel L. Spector of the Kol Ami Congregation. Join us December 8th at 6pm and hear from Rabbi Spector on his Jewish faith and community.
To celebrate the release of Wayfare Issue 4, join us tomorrow, November 15th, 6pm. We’ll have freshly printed issues, readings by Terryl Givens, Zachary Davis, Sharlee Glenn, Paige Anderson and Robbie Taggart, plus food and friendship.
